A series of virtual events took place in the first months of the RE-ACT Schools project, marking the beginning of this transformational project.
The first meeting was held on April 7th 2025, with all project partners meeting online to initiate the RE-ACT Schools project. Here, we discussed the general objectives and workplan of the project, focusing on the most important actions that needed to take place before the end of the school term.
This was important to our project to kick-start the procedures in a dynamic way, bringing in stakeholders and partners together right from the beginning and keeping them engaged.
On May 8th 2025, another meeting was held specifically to discuss working elements of the project. This included an initial update on the requirement of sensors needed for each pilot, needed to monitor the outdoor micro-climatic conditions in our six pilots. The sensors and weather stations are an integral part of the transformation, since they will show how micro-climates can change with appropriate design strategies and implementation of mitigation measures.
Several meetings including only selected partners followed, helping the pilots to finalise the documentation required for the procurement procedure. The next event is set to take place in physical presence, with the official project kick-off meeting taking place in Lucca, Italy!
