Within the framework of the RE-ACT Schools Project – “Transformation of Schoolyards to Combat Climate Change Effects and Promote Healthy and Active Environments”, Andoni Briones shared the experience of the City of Paris in adapting to increasing heat risks.
📅 The presentation was delivered on 20 November 2025 in Mataró, during the thematic workshop sessions of the 2nd Interregional Thematic Workshop.
💡 Focusing on Paris — recently identified as one of the European capitals most vulnerable to heatwaves — Andoni presented how streets, public spaces and municipal buildings are being transformed to respond to new climate conditions.
📍 This case study provided valuable technical and strategic insights, illustrating how large cities are implementing climate-resilient solutions that can inspire actions at different scales, including school infrastructures. 🌍💚
