Within the framework of the RE-ACT Schools Project – “Transformation of Schoolyards to Combat Climate Change Effects and Promote Healthy and Active Environments”, Dr. Cecil Konijnendijk delivered the keynote presentation of the RE-ACT Schools Conference.
📅 The presentation was delivered on 21 November 2025 in Mataró, during the thematic workshop sessions of the 2nd Interregional Thematic Workshop.
💡 Cecil presented the 3-30-300 rule, a globally recognised guideline for greener and healthier cities, explaining its scientific basis and its role in reducing urban heat islands while improving learning and living environments.
📍 This keynote encouraged partners and stakeholders to adopt long-term, evidence-based strategies for urban greening, providing a strong outlook for future policy development and project replication beyond RE-ACT Schools. 🌍💚
