🏙️🌡️ Revisiting the 2nd ITW | The City as a Health Tool: The Transformative Potential of Schoolyards – Marta Rofin 🎤

Within the framework of the RE-ACT Schools Project – “Transformation of Schoolyards to Combat Climate Change Effects and Promote Healthy and Active Environments”, Marta Rofin presented a session focused on the transformative role of schoolyards in urban health.

📅 The presentation was delivered on 20 November 2025 in Mataró, during the thematic workshop sessions of the 2nd Interregional Thematic Workshop.

💡 Marta highlighted how urban environments shape physical, mental, social and environmental well-being, emphasizing that schoolyards can act as key drivers for healthier, more resilient and cohesive cities. She underlined the importance of integrating health criteria into urban and educational planning.

📍 This contribution strengthened the link between climate adaptation, urban health and education, offering a strategic perspective for future schoolyard transformations within RE-ACT Schools. 🌍💚
